Directed by Siddharth Anand, Fighter was quite the ride. The story is simple, nothing sort of a suspense followed a pretty strightforward path , but what makes it special is the jaw-dropping aerial action scenes. They’re so well done, adding that extra excitement to the movie.

Beyond the action, there’s more to this film than meets the eye. It takes you through a rollercoaster of emotions. There are a few moments of laughter, tears, anger, and sheer astonishment and yes it does stirs up a sense of patriotism (like we didn’t expect that to happen).
The aerial action is a game-changer for Indian cinema. The visuals are top-notch, and the special effects make it all look real. Despite a few slow moments after the interval, the movie keeps you entertained.
Hrithik Roshan does a fantastic job, especially with his expressive eyes, giving you goosebumps, and the background music adds to the impact. Anil Kapoor’s performance is also noteworthy. However, the characters could have been explored more, especially Patty’s (Hrithik) inner conflicts, which might have added depth. and also might have enhanced the chemistry between the characters, especially with Mini (Deepika), Rocky (Anil), and others. The camaraderie between characters also felt a bit shallow.

Having said that storyline strikes a balance between realism and emotional satisfaction. Hrithik shines in the action sequences, but the movie could do with some trimming of some really unnecessary scenes and dialouges especially in the second half.
In the end, Fighter delivers on the action but could have had a more nuanced storyline. Share your thoughts in the comments!
The film entirely rests on Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone’s terrific performances, big-screen appeal, massy action scenes and some very strong emotional moments.
